I am very honored to begin my first blog on the subject of Provence. I traveled to Provence in June 2009 with the French Wine Society to learn about the wines of one of my favorite wine regions. I changed my drinking habits to include the dry Rose wines of the South of France, and learned about the foods that are complimented by these salmon-colored quaffers. I was invited to the home of some new friends in Marseilles, where I learned first-hand how to make Ratatouille and Soupe Pistou. I will share some recipes, as well as news about the Roses of Provence, when I get back. While I am here in Washington DC studying with the French Wine Society, I will share some pictures with you!
